Robin DeVito 

Robin DeVito is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and Coordinator of Accessibility Services for Students with Physical and Psychiatric Disabilities at Fulton Montgomery Community College.  Ms. DeVito holds a B.A.  in Sociology/Social Work from Siena College, an  M.S. in Educational Psychology from The College of Saint Rose, an MS in Rehabilitation Counseling from The State University of New York in Albany, and a Certificate of Advanced Study in School Counseling from SUNY-Albany.  With over 25 years of experience in the Disability Service field, she has worked at VESID, OMRDD, Hilltop of Niskayuna, St. Colman’s Home, and taught at FMCC, St. Rose, and SUNY Albany.   She currently sits on Fulton Counties Community Service Board, The Mental Health Association, and the Standing Committee for the Resource Center for Independent Living.   She is an advisor for FMCC’s  ABLE Club (Abilities Beyond Limitation in Education) and a member of NAMI, SUNY’s Disability Service Counsel,  and Hamilton-Fulton-Montgomery’s Transition Task Force.

Under the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1992, students with disabilities are entitled to reasonable accommodations.  In her position as Coordinator of Accessibility Services, Robin will determine a student’s eligibility for support services.  Typical accommodations include, but are not limited to note takers, extension of time for tests, sign language interpreters, magnifiers, FM systems, scribes, reading software, Ubi Duo, and other adaptive devices.
